Blood Type AB:

Best Traits: Cool, controlled, empathic, introverted and rational.

Worst Traits: Aloof, critical, indecisive and unforgiving.

Referred to as ‘humanists’, Type AB’s are said to be controlled more by their heads, than by their hearts. They are rational, good with money, but unpredictable. Although inclined to be distant, they prefer harmony and as such, work well with mediators. Some consider them two-faced, and therefore untrustworthy.

Yup, that about sums it up.

Sir, will this be going to North or South Korea?

So I finally shipped all my necessary documents to Korea. South Korea that is, I didn't even know I could ship to the North. Anyhow, It cost me $84.00 to ship all the way there! This better be worth it. Time sure is going by fast these days.

Let me know when it gets there. :)

How I Did It

Some of my friends asked me how I landed this teaching job, so here goes.

The first place you should look into is http://www.eslcafe.com. That's where I did most of my research on job openings. They also have a forum where you can read posts from expats already working overseas.

Most people usually contact recruiters via website application to find about job openings. You can find several recruiters in my links section. The recruiter will then conduct a mini interview and will talk to you about several openings in whichever country you're interested in. From there, you're recruiter will refer you to the actual school (public or private) and they will conduct a thorough interview via phone. If accepted you will need to gather the required documents for the contract and E-2 Visa.

That's about it, it's actually pretty easy but a lengthy process. So if you are interested, they usually hire every quarter depending on the school semester.

Just Offered Another Interview From Teach Away

I just got an email from Teach Away Inc. They offer positions for private schools, where EPIK deals with public schools. I'm not sure if I should try and interview with them. Private schools tend to pay higher but there is more work involved. Moreover, they do not help you find a place to stay. Hmm, I think I'll just stick with EPIK for starters, I'm still an ESL noob.

I found all my documents! Now all I have to do is get my apostilled docs back!

I Did It!!

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOO I got in! I haven't been this happy in so long. Good thing I called back, I mistakenly thought that my interview was tomorrow instead of today. Now all I have to do is get all my documents ready and I'll be on my way!!!!

Today was a good day =)

Korea Bound?

So I decided to take matters into my own hands.

I applied as an ESL teacher for EPIK (English Program In Korea) online. They have an interest in me and I have a phone interview with them on Monday.

I hope this works out!

<- Isn't my niece the cutest?! I put her up here for good luck, lol.

I've been preparing to get all my documents ready, if I land this job I'll be in Korea by August!

I created a Skype account incase I pull this off. It's a free voice chat client, in case you need to get a hold of me. It acts like a phone, all you need is a mic and/or a webcam.

Keep in mind the time differences, don't be calling me up at 4:00 in the morning. I added a clock at the bottom.
